Celebrate the joy, excitement and beauty of the season at the annual Holiday Tree Lighting, presented by the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, November 29 from 4pm – 7pm.
Festivities will begin at 4:00 pm with the South Pasadena High School Tiger Marching Band performing a variety of toe-tapping tunes at 4:30 pm. The South Pasadena Music Center & Conservatory will also entertain the audience with holiday tunes.
The highlight of the evening will happen at dusk, around 5:30 pm, when Mayor Richard Schneider will “flip the switch” and the tree will light up! Dozens of lights, glittery candy-cane and other colorful décor and ornaments will certainly be a breathtaking sight!
Keep an eye out for Santa Claus (at the Market for 2 weeks!) and the chance to visit, share a holiday wish list and take photos with him. Fun arts and craft activities are being planned to add to the fun and festive evening. The South Pasadena Historic Museum will be decorated for the holidays, and the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation will have seasonal treats for visitors.
