Just last week we had the special opportunity to hold our dot survey at the Farmer’s market again! A very big thank you to all those who participated and gave us their opinions. We gathered some interesting information from the survey which we will use to continue to make the South Pasadena Farmer’s Market better!
What is the main reason you attend?
Due to the various items people shop for, the variety of answers were evenly spread out. It can be observed from the chart that a high percentage of people attending the Farmer’s Market go for the fresh produce that our many farmers and vendors offer. On the other hand, very few people attend more specifically for packaged foods like baked and prepared goods.
How did you get here today?
Not altogether surprising, most attendees get to the Farmer’s Market via car. What is more surprising is the small percentage of people that get to the farmer’s market on their bike and Gold Line considering how close the station is to the market.
How did you find out about the market?
As seen on the graph, we are thankful to have so many regulars come to the Farmer’s Market every week! It also comes as no surprise that there is a fair amount of people who pass by in their cars and discover the Market. It is also very cool that many people find out about us from their friends!
How often do you come to the market?
The graph shows an even spread in the variety of answers. The highest percentage of people attend the market 1 to 3 times a quarter, close to once a month or so. Right next to it are people that show up around 2 to 3 times a month. We are also very happy to see there are a fair amount of first-timers!
Where do you live?
One of the easier questions, but the highest variety of answers available. Just under half of the people taking the survey attending the Farmer’s Market are from South Pasadena. The other two large populations were from other places in Pasadena and “other”. It’s great to see people attend the Farmer’s Market from all over!
How much do you usually spend at the Farmer’s Market?
Looking at the graph, it seems many consumers tend to spend a fair amount of money at the Farmer’s Market. It also shows the same percentage of people spending more than $71 and $51-$70. Thank you for all the support!
